We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accuracy in financial reporting. This role is ideal for a professional with a solid accounting foundation who is ready to take ownership of core accounting functions and grow within the organization.
This is a direct hire role. On-Site in Woodbury, MN. 8-4:30 hours. $65-$75k.
Job Duties:
- Prepare and post journal entries, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
- Perform account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, and income statement accounts)
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and internal management reports
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes as needed
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP
- Assist with budget tracking and variance analysis
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation
- Identify process improvements and assist with implementation of accounting best practices
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience (public or corporate)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and GAAP
- Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
